full on all the time or it's off - no in between. And when it's
off under the right conditions, the windows will fog.
Answer: Push and hold the defroster button, then you
can set it's intensity.

The '05 and '06 have that button labeled with an up
arrow (no indication that it is defrost). Have always turned
the fan on and then selected the up arrow to defrost on our
MINIs. No need to hold the button down in the '05 and
'06, just push the up arrow once to select it. ___
